Bitcoin Thailand 2026: merchants, taxes and a new hardware wallet, mostly in Thai

Bangkok's Bitcoin conference on 28–29 November is built for a local audience: talks in Thai and English, merchant tools, tax, kids' workshops and a new hardware wallet. Highlights with Bangkok and Moscow times.

Most Bitcoin conferences are in English and aimed at an international crowd. Bitcoin Thailand in Bangkok (28–29 November 2026, Samyan Mitrtown) is different: almost every session is labelled TH/EN, and the topics are about using bitcoin in Thailand. When we checked on 10 October, the schedule listed 53 sessions on a main stage, a second stage ("Citadel") and a workshop room.

Bangkok is on ICT (UTC+7), so Moscow is 4 hours behind: 09:00 in Bangkok is 05:00 in Moscow.

Paying with bitcoin in Thailand

  • 29 Nov, 11:25 / 07:25: "Inside Southeast Asia's Most Active Bitcoin Merchant Community", Naphat Kaosuwan. The title calls Thailand's merchant scene the most active in Southeast Asia.
  • 29 Nov, 10:30 / 06:30 (Citadel) and 12:40 / 08:40 (workshop): "The Bitcoin Merchant Toolkit", a hands-on look at Thai point-of-sale tools (MEKHA, Inw Cash PoS, Smart Coin System).
Note

"Most active" is the speaker's claim. We have not seen independent numbers on Thai bitcoin merchants.

  • 28 Nov, 10:00 / 06:00, workshop: "Phylax". Its Thai subtitle presents it as the launch of a hardware wallet "for the little guy".
